How cool is this? RUSH was a guest on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" Wednesday night, July 16th.

If you haven't seen it, and you're a RUSH fan...do it. Go out to The Colbert Report website and watch the episode. There are RUSH references through a good bit of the show.

Here is a little teaser....

Sunday night marked my 10th Rush concert since I first saw them on the Presto Tour in May 1990. The Boyz are in prime form today just as they were 18 years ago on my first outing.

I mention a few details of the show below so if you don't want to know, stop reading!

Regina managed to score us a pair of suite (sweet!) passes at the Bank Atlantic center for the show. Given my usual desire to sit down low & close to the stage this was a bit of a change, and a pretty cool one at that. Being up higher & farther back in the arena you certainly are able to see more of the entire show.

As Regina noted, the Rush fanbase is definitely a t-shirt crowd. If you don't care for folks wearing the shirt of the band they're going to see, then don't come to a Rush show. Sure there were a few random Genesis, Pink Floyd, even Queensryche shirts to be found. But we Rush fans like to show off our previous tour gear.

This time around we found an especially cool item, a fully embroidered t-shirt with supposedly 50k stitches on it. Of course this little item costs more than the others but heck...only live once right? : - )
